Driving from Detroit to Las Vegas takes around 30 hours and requires a drive of over 2,000 miles. Flying, however, takes just 4h 25m, allowing travelers to reduce their travel time by over one day! Departing from Detroit Metropolitan Airport, non-stop flights are operated by airlines including Spirit Airlines, Delta Air Lines and Southwest Airlines, with multiple flights available on a daily basis. Upon arrival in Las Vegas' McCarran International Airport, travelers wishing to reach the city center can choose to take a taxi or an airport shuttle bus; mass transit options are also available.
Las Vegas is best known for its world famous casinos, many of which are located along the Strip. Often found inside lavish hotels, some of the most well known include the Bellagio Hotel – which is also home to the popular Bellagio Fountains – and Caesars Palace. However, there's much more to Las Vegas than its casinos: visitors can also visit museums such as the Neon Museum and the Mob Museum, as well as indulging in some retail therapy at the open-air Fremont Street Experience.
