Why travel by plane from Paris to Tehran?
From the French capital city of Paris, to the Iranian city of Tehran, daily non-stop flights are available with a flight time of around 5h 55m. Operated by Air France, IranAir, and Mahan Air, these non-stop flights depart from Charles de Gaulle Airport and Paris Orly Airport, and touch down in Tehran Imam Khomeini International Airport. Connecting flights are also available from airlines including Lufthansa, Turkish Airlines and Austrian Airlines. It is possible to drive from Paris to Tehran, however this would take approximately 53 hours – almost 10 times longer than the equivalent flight!
What is there to see and do in Tehran?
Located in northern Iran, Tehran is the country's capital city. It's home to a number of ornate palaces and museums. These include the Golestan Palace: built in the 1500s during the Qajar era, its also known as the Palace of Flowers and is open to visitors, who can wander the magnificent grounds. Another palace complex worth a visit is the Niavaran Complex, also built during the Qajar era. Winter sports enthusiasts may be surprised to learn that Tehran is a popular skiing destination thanks to the nearby Tochal Complex ski resort.
