Salt Lake City is probably most famous for its winter ski resorts, just outside the city, thanks to the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. Today SLC is a fascinating mix of urban hipsters, Mormons and those who love the outdoors. With this kind of mix of locals, you can bet that this city has plenty to discover!
Sugar House: This is one of the city's oldest neighborhoods and is home to the city's fashionable youth and equally hip boutique shops and cafes. Stroll the streets, pick up a new trend and shop some of the city's local designers.
Temple Square: This is Utah's most visited location. It's the headquarters of the LDS Church and the main attraction is the Temple which houses a number of museums, a library and a few restaurants. Take a guided tour of Temple Square or explore it at your own pace.
Great Salt Lake: If you want to explore the great outdoors, get yourself a rental car while you’re in Salt Lake City and head out to this shallow, salty lake. Because of the salt, the lake never freezes! It's a great spot for bird watching, sailing and hiking.
