Stepping onto a flight to find your sharing a cabin with 80 winged passengers might be a bit of a surprise, but that’s what happened to travelers on board this flight in the Middle East.

A photo shared on Reddit shows an aircraft cabin full of what they identify as hawks, with the user writing that a Saudi prince had booked tickets for the 80 birds to travel on board – with each bird sitting in its very own seat!

My captain friend sent me this photo. Saudi prince bought ticket for his 80 hawks. from funny

While it might seem a little unorthodox, falconry is a popular pastime in the Middle East and many airlines flying in the area allow birds on board on the condition that they have all the necessary documentation – falcons are able to obtain their own passports in the Middle East.

So next time you get annoyed by the person in front’s reclining seat, be thankful you aren’t surrounded by 80 falcons instead!
