Spirit Airlines is known for its no frills approach to flying and now its taken things one step further: from April, passengers will be able to take even less cabin baggage on board for free.

Currently, Spirit’s “Bare Fare” allows passengers to bring a personal item with dimensions of up to 16″x14″x12″. After April 3, this will change: travelers will only be allowed to take small items of up to 18″x14″x8″ on board.

Spirit prides itself on its low fares, writing on their website that “we believe in only paying for what you use, not what you don’t.” Travelers must pay to reserve seats, travel with extra baggage, and for all on board food and drink.
