Spain has topped the list for the most popular destination of choice for LGBTI tourists.

Generating an income of $7 billion, gay, lesbian and trans tourists spent as much as 30% more than other travelers.

The figures from a recent report published by the US company, LGBT Capital, show Spain to beat France as 2015’s destination.

The rainbow flag is a common sight in Spain at festivals, celebrations and events – even though the mayors are conservative.

Italy was among one of the top 5 cities, due to its good food and art and culture. It was recorded that the gay and trans tourist dollar was worth $4.6 billion in Italy, making this market a high income.
