Frommer’s is best known for its travel guides to destinations around the world. But did you know it was first created as a guide for members of the military? To celebrate 60 years in action, Frommer’s is going back to its roots and giving away free holidays to 6 military families.
Sixty years ago, Arthur Frommer wrote his first travel guide aimed at fellow GIs in postwar Europe. Now, Frommer’s is partnering with HomeAway to celebrate their sixtieth anniversary and say thank you to veterans for their service.
Six travel experiences are up for grabs, with destinations including Puerto Rico, Florida, Italy and England. The prize will consist of 5 nights in a HomeAway vacation rental; airfare for four to travel to their destination; and $1,500 to spend while you’re there.
Click here to take part; military families can enter themselves – or be nominated by others. They’ll need to enter a family photo, and include a description of their accomplishments. A panel of judges will then narrow the entrants down to 30 families, before the public are invited to vote for the winning 6.
Want to enter? The deadline for entries is June 4; voting will then take place between June 9 – June 25, 2017.
