Planning a family vacation this year? Airbnb has released its top 15 destinations for family travel in 2017!
The accommodation website surveyed family travelers to take a look at the most popular destinations for family travel in 2017. Travel habits were also a focus, with 43% of respondents preferring to head to a new destination every year. Meanwhile, 45% preferred a mixture of new and old destinations.
When it comes to the most popular destinations, Japan came out on top with Osaka and Kyoto taking first and second place respectively. In third was Melbourne, while Malibu came in fourth and the Icelandic capital of Reykjavik rounded off the top 5. Check out the full list here.
It looks like we prefer action packed vacations, as 79% of those surveyed said they thought their kids would enjoy taking part in activities while away; and 78% see cultural and educational opportunities as important when choosing a destination.
When it comes to amenities, it may not come as a surprise that WiFi was highly valued with 64% citing it as a crucial feature.
