This is one in flight announcement which we’re pretty sure passengers were interested in hearing! Watch the moment one Australian pilot decided to make his proposal extra special by popping the question at 37,000 feet.

In flight announcements are generally limited to updating passengers on flight status and going in for the hard sell on snacks, beverages and duty free items. Not so on this Qantas flight from Australia! Watch the emotional moment a pilot used an in flight announcement to ask a pretty important question. Yep, that’s right – he proposed!

Captain Ellis, a Qantas pilot who has been flying with the airline for 30 years, was operating flight QF93 with his girlfriend, who was travling home to South America, on board. Catching her totally off guard, he used an in flight announcement to ask her (in Spanish): Quieres casarte conmigo – Will you marry me?

She said yes, to the delight of fellow passengers, and the emotional scene was all captured on camera. Check it out below.
