A new milestone has been reached at BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport, the airport had its busiest month ever with a record 2 million plus passengers through the door in July (9 per cent increase from last year).
The airport has jumped by more than 50 per cent in international travel due to their airline partners offering more flight variation when it comes to destinations outside the US.
Supporting almost 94,000 jobs, the airport generates more than $721 million in tax revenue a year.
However with more customers through the door, means more opportunity to boost the local economy by expanding and creating more jobs.
