Compared with the same period last year, complaints against airlines have risen by 27% in the U.S according to U.S Department of transportation.
In the September period, airline passengers filed 15,770 complaints compared to 12,348 that were filed the year before.
The increase of complaints doesn’t reflect the improved numbers in many airline categories, in categories such as ‘on-time arrivals’ (which rose to 86.5% in September), and lost baggage (which dropped to 3.31 lost bags out of every 1,000.)
The type of complaints that rose in 2015 were problems with fares, refunds, flight cancellations, delays, and customer service.
