Since its first season aired back in 2003, ABC’s The Bachelorette has taken its hopeful participants worldwide on a journey to some of the most beautiful destinations on earth making it the perfect place to find inspiration for a romantic getaway.  

Whether it’s a tropical island with white sandy beaches, a vibrant city with a rich history or a rugged country landscape, Bachelorettes past and present have visited some stunning locations. We run down some of the most beautiful, romantic and bucket list worthy destinations of all twelve seasons of the hit show.

Barcelona, Spain 

Vibrant, colorful and romantic Barcelona was one of the destinations for season 9 Bachelorette Desiree Hartsoc. With tapas, wine, art and the lively Spanish culture all part of its rich tapestry, the city made for the perfect location.

Dubrovnik, Croatia

Famous for playing the role of King’s Landing in Game of Thrones, back in 2012 the Croatian city of Dubrovnik also played host to Emily Maynard and her hopeful bachelors. Its coastal beauty, rich history and Mediterranean lifestyle combined to form the perfect backdrop for a series of romantic dates.

Thailand

San Francisco, California

Fiji

Season 7’s Ashley chose her leading man on the South Pacific archipelago of Fiji. Hopping from island to island, there were clear blue waters, white sandy beaches and stunning resorts aplenty. The ideal setting in which to give out that all important final rose!

Tahiti

Heading to the Tahitian islands of Taha’a and Bora Bora for the finale of season 6, Ali Fedotowsky and her three finalists went on an array of dream dates. Activities included swimming with sting rays, jet skiing and a helicopter ride to the heart shaped island of Tupai.

Ireland

Jetting off to Ireland for three episodes, this was the only international location featured on season 11 of The Bachelorette. Starting in Dublin, Kaitlyn Bristowe and contestants enjoyed a helicopter ride, visits to Irish castles and clifftop picnics, showcasing the stunning views and rugged scenery of the country. Bermuda

Pink sand beaches, cliff diving and candlelit dinners in subterranean caves set the scene for romance in season 8 of The Bachelorette, as Emily Maynard headed to Bermuda. Exploring the cobblestone streets of St. George’s, sailing and walking through a Bermudian lucky moon gate were all on the itinerary.

Buenos Aires, Argentina

The latest season of The Bachelorette saw JoJo head to Buenos Aires, learning the art of tango and wandering the colorful streets of the Argentinian capital. Nicknamed the “Paris of South America’, if you’re dreaming of an Argentinian vacation start your day with for a coffee and some medialunas, before exploring this vibrant city.
