France is not lacking in charming towns and villages, with locals and visitors enjoying their cobble stone streets, delicious bakeries and quintissential French atmosphere. Now, the country’s favorite has been revealed!

French TV channel France 2 crowned the medieval village of Kaysersberg as France’s favorite on a tv show entitled “Village préféré des Français” (France’s Favorite Town). Located in Alsace, the town boasts colorful half-timbered houses, cobblestone streets and medieval architecture.

The town claimed the top spot thanks to a number of factors, including its friendly locals and beautiful architecture. Found along Alsace’s wine route, Kaysersberg is one of the region’s top wine growing areas, with its Pinot Gris a must-try.
