Tired of the 9 – 5 daily grind? Why not head to Finland and get paid to watch out for the Northern Lights? That’s right – an ice hotel in Finland is hiring an official Northern Lights Monitor!
The Arctic Snow Hotel in Rovaniemi, Finland posted a number of job openings recently. As well as waiters, waitresses, maids and receptionists, they’re also looking for someone to keep an eye out for the Northern Lights and forecast where they’ll appear next!
Interested? The successful candidate will be happy with staying up all night – shifts for the Aurora Borealis monitor start at 11pm and don’t end until 6am the following morning. Knowledge of the Finnish language is not necessary however you’ll need to be able to withstand sub zero temperatures!
The position will last for between 3 – 6 months, and starts this December. If working at a hotel made out of actual ice whilst searching for one of the world’s most stunning natural phenomena sounds like the dream job, apply before September 11 to be in with a chance.
