Low cost, no frills airline Spirit will begin flights from Pittsburgh later this year, adding another airport to its extensive network across the country.
Known for its super cheap airfares and stripped back service, Spirit Airlines offers affordable flights to a number of locations across the U.S. Now, it’s adding one more to the list: from May 2017, travelers will be able to fly with Spirit from Pittsburgh International Airport to seven domestic destintations.
The airline currently operates a network of 60 airports; Pittsburgh will be the 61st city to join the airlines flight route. Flights departing from the city will head to Myrtle Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Houston and Dallas/Fort Worth.
Flights to Dallas/Fort Worth and Myrtle Beach will commence on May 25; flights to Fort Lauderdale start on June 15; flights to Orlando and Las Vegas begin on June 22; and flights to Houston and Los Angeles will commence on July 13. All cities will be served by one flight a day from Pittsburgh with Spirit Airlines, with the exception of flights to For Lauderdale, which will depart three times a week.
The new flights can be purchased now – remember to search and compare airfare on liligo.com to be sure of getting the best deal!
