The number of hotel room in London is expected to increase by 12 percent within the next three years, with a focus on budget accommodation as well as five star accommodation.
The data has been released by London & Partners and AM:PM, they revealed that there will be an increase of 17,769 rooms, totaling 138,769 rooms across the capital.
Tracy Halliwell, director of business tourism and major events at London & Partners, said: “With the rising number of business and leisure visitors to London and strong occupancy levels across the city, it is great to see that a range of hotel companies are investing in new properties, catering for the demand for both low-cost and high-end hotels.”
Some of the luxury London hotel additions that are due to open in 2016 are InterContinental London, The O2, the Four Seasons Hotel London and Members Club Shoreditch.
