Hong Kong has taken the crown as the most visited city in the world, welcoming 26 million visitors in 2015.
According to data released by U.K. based market research group Euromonitor International, which made its annual Top City Destinations Ranking available this week, Hong Kong was the most visited city in 2015.
Despite a fall of 3.9% in tourist numbers between 2014 and 2015, the city maintained its position at the top of the list. According to Euromonitor, “the close proximity to and rapidly rising disposable incomes in China mean that Hong Kong remains a key destination for Chinese travellers”.
In second place was Bangkok, welcoming 18.7 million visitors in 2015, while London came in third.
