In air flight food doesn’t get the best rep. Unless you fly 1st class without exception, the word airline food probably inspires images of luke warm mushed food served in unappealing plastic containers. But one website, AirlineMeals, has been created to show us the realities of the best and worst airline food available.
The website has been in operation for a few years now and has racked up a database of more than 35,000 images from 700 airlines across the world.
The images come from long haul flights, short haul flights, first class, business class and economy so you’re really able to compare and contrast the differences between price and quality. Users that send in their plane food snaps are able to write a review and rate their dish.
Although the quality of airline food is probably not going to influence what class of flights ticket you buy or which airline you decide to go with (especially if you’re on a budget), but it will be a useful for people with allergies or if you are just deciding whether to eat before your flight or not.
