If there’s one thing Barcelona isn’t lacking, it’s rooftop bars. The city is filled with great terraces on which to relax with a drink while checking out panoramic views of Barcelona (is that the Sagrada Familia over there?!). With so many to choose from, we’ve run through 5 of Barcelona’s best rooftop bars.

Check out the other great cities in our rooftop bars series:

Terraza 360, Barceló Raval

Perched atop the cosmopolitan Barceló Raval hotel, this rooftop bar located in the up and coming district of Raval stays true to its name, offering awesome 360 views of the city. Open to non guests as well as hotel residents, during the weekends throughout the summer months a DJ provides the soundtrack to the warmer evenings; the bar also stays open in winter. Relax in the swimming pool; enjoy a glass of the hotel’s very own craft beer; and enjoy the view. It’s simply stunning.

Hotel Omm’s Terrace

If you’re a fan of the iconic work of Antoni Gaudí then this rooftop found atop Hotel Omm, a stylish Barcelona design hotel, is the one for you. Omm’s Terrace is situated opposite La Pedrera – one of Gaudís most striking buildings – as well as offering a view of the Sagrada Familia. Reserved for hotel guests during the day, by evening the bar opens to the public, offering a great drinks menu and stunning setting in which to relax.

Tip: go after sunset to see both monuments lit up.

WET® pool and terrace, W Hotel

It may not be a rooftop bar in the technical sense, but with the best views of Barceloneta beach and beyond, we couldn’t miss this outdoor terrace off our list. The W Hotel is located at the beginning of Barcelona’s series of beaches, and is an exclusive address with some of the best views in the city. Head to the WET® Pool and Terrace for delicious cocktails, snacks and breathtaking views. As its name suggests, there’s a pool in which to cool off, while it’s worth noting that the terrace is only open to non-residents after 8pm. However, during the summer the hotel’s legendary Wet Deck parties (held every Sunday afternoon) allow non-guests to enjoy the terrace in the day time.

W Hotel BarcelonaBonus: Summer Nights at La Pedrera

To get even closer to Gaudí’s iconic work, head to Barcelona in summer and buy tickets for the “Nits d’Estiu A La Pedrera” (Summer Nights at La Pedrera). Held throughout summer, visitors can enjoy a tour of the “Gaudí Space” before relaxing with a drink on the building’s rooftop, while some of Barcelona’s best jazz artists perform live.
