If you’re looking for the best powder to cut this winter, then look overseas to the beautiful French Alps. That’s where you’ll find Val Thorens, which was recently named the best ski resort in the world for the fourth year in a row.

The 2017 World Ski Awards has recognized Val Thorens as the best ski resort in the world at a recent awards ceremony for its “breathtaking natural environment” and the resort’s “sociable and welcoming atmosphere.” Val Thorens sits at an altitude of 7,545 feet, making it the highest ski resort in Europe.

Val Thorens officially opened for the 2017/2018 ski season on November 18th and their brand new 5-star luxury chalet is due to open next month, featuring rooftop igloo pods and Finnish hot tubs! There’s nothing like a little bit of luxury while on vacation, just another reason to book those flights to France for your next ski trip.
