2015 is looking to be a great year for Cuba’s travel industry, and is expected to top the 3 million mark reached in 2014, which will break a record.

Between January 1st and July 10th 2 million tourists flocked to the Caribbean island, Cuba.

This year the 2 million mark was reached 39 days ahead of last year’s schedule, showing a promising peak of 16%. 2014 was also a record year for Cuba welcoming 3 million visitors for the first time ever. Cuba’s Tourism Minister Manuel Marrero said the country is preparing for the increased visitors by increasing the pace of hotel construction to meet the demand.
