Delta has teamed up with leading New York designer Zac Posen to revamp their employee uniforms, in a bid to bring “glamour back to flying”.
The new uniforms were revealed at an event in Atlanta on Tuesday October 18.
The collection aims to offer a combination of “modern, high fashion, elegance and functionality”, with over 60,000 Delta employees set to wear the new uniform when it’s rolled out after testing, in 2018.
Designed by New York fashion designer Zac Posen, the collection has a focus on functionality as well as aesthetics: the fabrics selected, for example, have been done so to ensure pieces are able to stand up to the daily demands of a role in the Delta workplace.
In a statement, Delta’s CEO Ed Bastian said that “Zac and the Delta team worked closely with our people to create timeless and fashionable pieces that reflect the thoughtful and innovative spirit of Delta”.
