If you’re considering moving abroad in the future, why not try Melbourne, Vienna or Vancouver? According to the Economist Intelligence Unit’s (EIU) Global Liveability Ranking, they’re the top three most livable cities in the world!

For the sixth year in a row, Melbourne tops the list, which looks at five categories – such as stability, healthcare and environment – to rank 140 cities around the world in terms of livability. Vienna comes in second place, with Vancouver not far behind in third.

In 29 of the 140 cities, a decline in livability has occurred which the study attributes to factors such as heightened fears over terrorism as well as social unrest and ongoing civil wars.

Australia and Canada both have three cities in the top 10, which also features Auckland, New Zealand and Helsinki, Finland.
