Traveler's Edition
The Main hotel (formerly known as The Cecil) in LA has been overrun with tourist and fans from the TV series American Horror Story. People flock outside the hotel and demand to stay in the room that inspired the fifth season entitled Hotel.
The fifth season, which premiered last night, is inspired by the setting for the story of a death of a female tourist, 21 year old Elisa Lam, whose body was found in a rooftop water tank of the hotel in 2013.
A video was released of Elisa moments before her death acting erratically in the elevator. Her behavior seems in line with someone who is under the influence of drugs, however no drugs were found in her system.
This leads people to believe that the hotel is haunted – the hotel has also hosted serial killers and been the setting of countless suicides and murders over the years.
Although people are queuing up to catch a glimpse of the hotel – a glimpse is all they will get as the room that Elisa died in is off limits.
